Simplicity at its best, Bite N Eat Dindigul
Biriyani is another wonderful Indian restaurant located in the midst of Market
Street in George Town, Penang. In line with its name, the eatery is focusing in
introducing the respected Dindigul-styled Indian delicacies to Penang folks. In
introducing the original tastes of India to the locals, most of the delicacies
served are made using recipes that are passed down from generation to
generation along with unique and rich spices obtained straight from India. The
fact that the owner and his team are all from Dindigul, India, makes people
even more interested in trying their authentic cuisine.
The restaurant is specially known for
serving one of the best biryani using the premium seeraga samba rice. The rice,
spices, and meat are all slow-cooked traditionally using a round pot called dum
to enhance the authentic taste with spices marinated nicely into the meat and
rice resulting in a moist and glistening flavour. Patrons are able to choose
between different types of biryani including chicken, fish, mutton, prawn, egg,
vegetable, mushroom or pea. The dish comes in set alongside onion raita, dalcha
and firni – a famous dessert of traditional rice custard.
Apart from the famous dish, diners can also opt for Chicken 555, pepper fish fry, kola vrundal (mutton ball), crab masala, gobi pakkoda (cauliflower fritters), jolly gosht (mutton), fish semolina and Chettinadu curry omelette. You would not have to worry about your health so much since Bite N Eat Dindigul Biriyani is preparing meals without any MSG and preservatives. Only gingelly oil (sesame seed), refined sunflower oil or pure ghee are used in their cooking. Don’t forget to try their delicious and refreshing beverages like mint julipe, jigar thanda (milk, ice cream and jelly), rose milk, Madras Bru coffee and chukku malli coffee.
