Located in a midst of residential
houses in Canning Garden, Ipoh is Vanity Haus, a café run by a Dutch family
living in Ipoh for many years that has opened up in May 2013 amongst the rapid
and ever growing café scene that’s taking place in Ipoh. The café is largely
considered a hidden gem as most people will likely miss it trying to look for
it due to it’s ability to blend in with the other houses in the area. The house
space is utilised by having a boutique spa salon & training centre coupled
with the quaint cafe occupying the living hall with enough space for 4 square
tables.
While the menu might be a little
on the smaller side, customers still have plenty of food to enjoy at Vanity
Haus. Some of the dishes served at the restaurant include savoury items like
sandwiches, pastas such as spaghetti carbonara and spaghetti lamb bolognaise,
baked salmon bathed in a parsley cream sauce, chicken chop with a side of potato
wedges, long beans and garlic bread, fish & chips, lamb chop, and a few
others.
Among all this food, the standout
item to have here at Vanity Haus is undoubtedly the brownies; which come in a
variety of flavours such as peanut butter, cranberry, raisin & almond, chocolate
chips, marshmallows, red velvet, and a number of others.
In short, head on down to Vanity
Haus if you’re looking for a slightly more unique café experience with the
interesting house setting and great food served.
