Pisang
goreng cheese has currently become a huge trend in
Malaysia. This sweet, crispy and golden dessert is made of banana that is
battered, deep fried and then sprinkled with cheese and sugar. You can find it
everywhere in Malaysia, from coffee shops to street stalls; and you haven’t
lived until you’ve tried the famous ‘Din Pisang Goreng Cheese’.
Slices of cheese and brown sugar sprinkled on
top of hot banana fritters, the molten concoction mixed with crunchy, sweet and
creamy taste is the ultimate formula for the founder of ‘Din Pisang Goreng
Cheese’, Razilanudin Rodzi Mat or better known as Din. Wanting to stick with
the original cheese banana fritters, this young entrepreneur refused to add
extra flavours to his ‘pisang goreng cheese’. To him, that is the secret ingredient
that made his humble stall famous among the locals.
Din personally likes original taste of
homemade cheese banana fritters as it is sufficient to provide a sweet and nice
flavours without overdoing it with other toppings such as chocolate or caramel.
Remembering the beginning of his business, he said that he did not have the
skills to cook banana cheese fritters recipes and due to life pressure and
spirit to try out the intricacies of the business, he started this business.
Selling almost 140kg of cheese a day, you
must be willing to wait in a long queue before getting your hands on the famous
pisang goreng. Fret not, however, as their
efficient staffs will not make you wait for long. Even though it is just a
simple stall and not some fancy restaurant, it will definitely catche your
attention with its original and authentic flavour.
