There are a lot of seafood restaurants around Klang Valley, but most of them serve pork which makes it difficult for Muslims to experience delicious and fresh seafood delicacies. Worry no more. Just head over to Hokkaido Seafood Restaurant located at Jalan Lumut, Kuala Lumpur near to LRT Titiwangsa station. This Chinese restaurant is offering no pork cuisine for everyone from different races and backgrounds to enjoy.
This very famous seafood restaurant has a very nice ambience and it is suitable for family dining. The price range can be considered as average compared to other seafood joints. Walking into the place, you will see aquariums full of sea lives waiting to be chosen by you. It shows that the seafood here is unquestionably fresh.
First menu up; The Sweet and Sour Crab! Huge crabs with just the right amount of sweetness and sourness, this dish is simply wonderful. If you love petai and spicy food, you should go for the Special Sambal Squid. It is a combination of petai and some veggies with squid. You will love the sour and spicy flavour that brings out the freshness of the squid.
Aside from that, you can have the Spicy Stir-fried Cockles. The cockles are beautifully cooked and have a lovely burnt tanginess from the chilli and dried prawns.
Last recommended dish is the Deep-fried Groupe in Sweet & Sour Sauce. Fried in very pre-heated oil to give its outer parts a crunchy texture and the inner meat soft and fresh. Hokkaido Seafood Restaurant is always full during the weekends and they only provide dinner.
However, with the excellent service, delightful cuisine, and reasonable price, we don’t see why you shouldn’t visit this restaurant.
