Hoong Foong Dim Sum is a Chinese Restaurant based in Subang Jaya, specialising in Hong Kong and local Dim Sum. Hoong Foong Dim Sum had a humble start as a hawker store in Taipan, Subang Jaya in 1999. With the help of word-of-mouth, they were able to open up their own shop in USJ 9, Subang Jaya in 2000. Then in 2005, they moved to a bigger premise in USJ 21. The goal from day 1 for this restaurant was to serve the best quality Dim Sum for a reasonable and affordable price.
They achieve this with 40 to 60 different types of Dim Sum in their culinary arsenal. Among this large number of options lies their signature plates of Dim Sum which include Har Gao, Siu Mai, Yi Mai (fish ball), Kai Kiok, Pai Guat, Lao Sa Pao, Lo Mai Kai and many more. The other specials in their menu are items such as Marmite Pork Ribs, Pandan Leaf Chicken, chicken mushroom wrap, sweet potato roll, supreme soup prawns, and much more. For those who might not be in the mood for Dim Sum, there are other dishes to be had like Pan Mee, Hong Kong Kai Lan, and porridge to name a few.
There are also dessert items to be had to pleasantly wrap up the meal. Some of these dessert items include egg tarts, sesame balls, lotus biscuits, Cantonese sponge cake, pandan banana roll and much more. It is very clear that Hoong Foong Dim Sum has a lot to offer for fans of Dim Sum. Their tremendous growth in the span of more than 15 years is warranted.
