The Ramadhan season has been an ongoing ritual for Muslims since the very beginning of the Islam religion. During this time, Ramadhan bazaars are set up across Malaysia for Muslims to purchase a variety of food to open fast in the evening. The bazaar is catered for not just Muslims only but to every other race as well. One of the most talked about bazaars is the Kelana Jaya Ramadhan Bazaar. The bazaar has attracted many customers to its large variety of food stalls and drinks stands all from sweet to savoury.
The bazaar is set up in individual small stalls with blue, red and other colourful tents. Some stalls are bigger while some are smaller depending on the space the food stallers need to prepare. It is arranged at the side of the road in a straight path in order for people to walk by easily. The bazaar is located outdoors so at times it may get really hot.
The Kelana Jaya Ramadhan Bazaar is famous for its variety of food and although it is a tad bit pricey the food is worth trying. Some of their famous and most talked about food are the Nasi Ambeng which comes with fried chicken, soy chicken or beef rendang. Aside from the Nasi Ambeng, it is said that the sambal ikan cencaru, ayam percik, Penang laksa, the charred grilled satay, kebabs, the many grilled stalls, halal Chinese food, Indian food as well as local desserts to savour on. There are a variety of drinks stands such as the watermelon juice stall that are thirst quenching after a longs day of fasting or work.
This particular bazaar is so hyped up due to Kelana Jaya being a more populated area where locals would head to because of its good food. The bazaar exudes a great time of fellowship and food enticing many locals to come back for more.
