Kopimeo is part of the Klang Valley's rising wave of contemporary cafes in the country located at Seksyen 9, Shah Alam. The cafe is the brainchild of husband and wife duo, Meor and Leena, who were very much inspired by the Melbourne cafe scene that has taken over many parts of the world. As a result, the decor is minimalistic, with furniture courtesy of Lain Furniture, open-terrarium plants, and a children’s play corner. Another nice thing to note is that the location of Kopimeo is facing the main road that approaches Seksyen 9, making it fairly easy to spot on your way in.
While the menu at Kopimeo is small, it does cover a sufficiently wide spectrum. The menu consisted of an all day brunch selection, a pasta selection, a kids menu, as well as snacks & desserts. With a menu as small as this, Kopimeo still has the distinction of serving up Shakshuka, which is a dish of Moroccan baked eggs. Another thing that’s slightly unique about Kopimeo is that they serve a plate of big brunch as opposed to the plate of big breakfast commonly served in most cafes. This plate consists of roasted potatoes, a sunny side up egg, toasted bread, sausages, and ham. As far as the snacks go, a standout item is the garlic parmesan fries and churros.
All this food can be enjoyed with a wide selection of hot drinks to round up the meal such as mocha, hot chocolates, and much more. So head down to Kopimeo to enjoy the Melbourne cafe experience with great food, drinks and decor in Shah Alam.
