Murni Discovery in Subang Jaya is the extended branch
from the original in SS2 PJ. The name Murni is synonymous with late night sessions and place
to hang out, for those who are aware of them that is. However, Murni's ever
growing popularity is attracting more and more people to their restaurant for
their wide range of cuisine from Malaysian Malay, Chinese and Indian, Western
and Italian.
There are two path of dining in Murni, either you go for the same
thing again and again because it's really good, or be adventurous and trying to
sample every dish they have. Whichever team you're in, there are must try menus
that needs to be the first in the list. Starting off with the original star,
Mee Raja, a dish of thin noodles fried with arrays of seafood, chicken pieces,
and vegetables with great taste, plentiful ingredients, and a worthy portion. Big enough for two, if you're a newbie ordering this
for the first time, make sure your stomach is properly empty.
Next is the Nasi
Lemak Ayam Pandan. Murni is notorious for being packed during peak hours and
cooked food may take longer to arrive at your table. If you're in a hurry to
stuff yourself, get the Nasi Lemak with optional sides like pandan chicken or
prawn sambal, that has been cooked and ready to serve.
Then there's the mamak
side of things with the usual Roti Canai but also with the unusual Roti Hawaii
and Roti Beckham. Ignore what they decide to name their dish and focus on the
fun combination of normal roti and multitudes of meat, cheese and
mayonnaise. The Cheese Naan is also worth a try. There are so many different kinds of food at Murni that
you will never be bored. With great tasting food, amazingly appreciative
prices, and an ambience that is very Malaysian, it is quickly becoming 'the' place for gatherings.
