Nasi Kerabu is one of the many local favorites in Malaysia. Originating from a small state on the east coast of peninsular Malaysia called Kelantan. This authentic Kelantanese cuisine has spread its recipe across KL. Locals from other areas as well as tourists are able to peep through a different taste of Malaysia’s cuisine. Nasi Kerabu may not be as popular than the other dishes that’s frequently mentioned around the world but it is definitely one that’s making its name known especially from Nasi Kerabu Nur FZ.
The restaurant is based in a food truck which normally parks its mobile restaurant somewhere around Jalan Wangsa Melawati 2 next to 7/11. As Nasi Kerabu is basically the ‘Nasi Lemak’ of Kelantan, the food is prepared fresh every morning and operates starting from 8am-2pm. A definite satisfying breakfast, brunch or lunch would do your hungry bellies justice. There are more than 10 types of sides that could go with your meal. Definitely plenty to choose from. All the cooked dishes are placed on one side while the other side is placed with containers and other cooking utensils.
Nur FZ’s Nasi Kerabu is fashioned in an array of colourful arrangement. Served with its fresh fragrant blue dyed rice along with chicken curry, fish crackers, beansprouts and other local salads side with a bright red chilli fresh sambal. The Nasi Kerabu is rested on top of a banana leave making it extra fragrant. The blue colour rice is not from artificial colouring but from from the natural colors sipping out from the petals of the butterfly-pea. Customers are allowed to choose additional side dishes that’s available.
Take note that if you’re there earlier, you’ll have a wider choice of sides to choose from so to the KL epicures out there, be sure to bring yourselves to Nur FZ’s for a good hearty meal.
