Nijyumaru is a well-known
Japanese restaurant in Johor Bahru, with one branch located in Bandar Baru
Permas Jaya and another located in Taman Sutera Utama. The restaurant is
considering a substantially major landmark in the area, which is no surprise
considering the sheer size of the restaurant with it’s large signage that’s
ever so familiar with the people of Johor Bahru. Nijyumaru regularly enjoys a
decent crowd at the restaurant, to the point that it becomes difficult for
those who do not have a reservation. When it comes to the décor, Nijyumaru has
a combination of black and golden scheme that surrounds the restaurant to give
the modern Japanese feel, together red lanterns hanging up around the
restaurant which shine and attract attention at night.
At Nijyumaru, the menu showcases
plenty of great dishes to enjoy. For starters, chawanmushi is taken in an
interesting direction with toppings like salmon roe, sharks fin, and a few
others. Some of the perennial Japanese favourites offered at Nijyumaru include
ramen, chicken katsu curry, salads like the sake kawa salad, bento sets, unagi,
tempura varieties, and a whole lot more. Speaking of perennial favourites, no
full-fledged Japanese restaurant would be complete without a slew of sushi and
sashimi to choose from, and Nijyumaru certainly delivers in this regard with
items like Sake Haru Cheese Maki, Domori, salmon, tuna, and much more.
In short, Nijyumaru has been
serving some of the best Japanese food in Johor Bahru to the point that it has
been attracting large crowds from the area for a long time, and shows no signs
