Pizzaiola is an Italian fusion restaurant nestled in Prangin Mall, Georgetown. With its brick walls and wooden celling, it is cosy and comfortable and understatedly Italian, preferring to let the food speak for itself. It is definitely a good place for family and friends to hang out and chit chat at. This place also offers a great value for money, with an all day long semi-buffet that comes with a minimum spending of RM18. Various starters, appetizers, salad, pastry and dessert are included. The buffet also comes with one cup of Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream per person.
As you can see from the name, one of the signature dishes here is their Pizzas. Pizzaoila Pizza is definitely one of the best, with a generous topping of teriyaki unagi, beef pepperoni, BBQ chicken and spicy seafood. It is enough to fill up a few adults. You can also sample the Salmone Affumicato Pizza which is topped with salmon, onions and heaps of cheese. Of course, like many other Italian restaurants, there are also a selection of unique Pastas. Most of them are fusions with other types of cuisines. For example, the Gamberi Arrabiata Spaghetti, which is topped with three huge, deep fried prawn flavoured with chili and herbs. They are then paired with tomato sauce spaghetti that is served al-dente. Don’t forget their utterly delectable Risottos. The BBQ Chicken Risotto consists of sauteed mushroom risotto along with tender, juicy slices of grilled chicken lounging on a pool of BBQ sauce.
For dessert, their Chocolate Lava Cake which comes in a huge
portion is highly recommended. Fresh from the oven, it is topped with a scoop
of cold vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup. As for beverages,
their Lemon Bubble Shake comes with a presentation that bears an eerie
resemblance to the Butterbeer in Harry Potter. Sour and sweet at the same time,
it is definitely refreshing.
