Lemon Tree began in 2005, when
the owner chef decided to open up his own restaurant. You can be rest assured
that the food here is amazing as the chef owner Jeffrey has had experiences
working at 5-star hotels and also helped launched Vivo Pizza. Lemon
Tree worked with an aim to cater to as much people, as many people as possible. They strive to
bring the kind of food that everyone can enjoy regardless of age group and
backgrounds. The simple setting allows anyone to walk in and enjoy good food in
the presence of good company.
There are various Western mains to choose from; notable ones are Seafood Aglio Olio, Signature Chicken Chop, and the Island Seafood Pizza. Springy spaghetti, with some well-sized prawns, squid rings, and fried battered dory, tied together with
a good amount of olive oil, garlic and chilli; the Aglio Olio is perfect for those looking to
have a healthier treat. The Chicken Chop consists of grilled flatten chicken
leg with slight char marks albeit still tender and juicy, topped with chicken
ham and melted cheese slice, alongside some fries and coleslaw. The Seafood
Island Pizza has a generous topping of prawns, squid and tuna, with thousand
island, sliced onions and mozzarella cheese.
Lemon Tree is also known for its gourmet desserts. Among them is the ultimate favourite; Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream. Made with 70% dark chocolate, this warm dish evens itself out with the help of the ice cream. Who can say no to the chocolate heaven that’s oozing out from the first slice? Hardly a mystery, the name Lemon Tree comes from a song by Fools Garden that was a hit back when the owner first started the restaurant. Other things to try include the local Mee Mamak, the hefty Special Fried Rice, Chocolate Cake and Crème Brulee.
