SS2/103 housing area, Restoran Makanan Laut Wang Chiew is a well-known seafood
restaurant serving Chinese cuisine at a pretty reasonable price. The
medium-sized eatery is divided into two with one being air-conditioned and the
other without air-condition. One thing about this place is that it is
always full of customers especially during the weekends. Reservation is a must,
unless if you do not mind sitting outside in the hot air. However, patrons are
always impressed with the service provided here. Despite the never ending flow
of customers, they still manage to serve the dishes in only about 20 minutes of
waiting time.
One of the signature dishes here is the Yam
Basket. Also known as the ‘Fatt Putt’, the dish is perfectly made with mild
crispiness on the outside and no complains about the decently prepared
fillings. Your Chinese meal won’t be complete without the mandatory Stir Fried
Kangkung Belacan dish. Lip-smacking wok hei and strong essence of belacan that
can be tasted in every bite, makes it the ultimate dish whenever you dine here.
If you want something that can complement the rice perfectly, go for the Steamed
Minced Pork with Salted Fish. The salted fish and pork blends well together and
bring out a great fragrant to it.
For chicken lovers, Steamed Salted Herbal Kampung Chicken is the ideal selection for you. Juicy chicken meat with a hint of herbs seasoning enhances the natural flavour of the chicken, making it go perfectly well with the gravy. Steamed fish is also a big hit among the crowds. For a place that is always crowded and well-known, the cuisine and service here is really not bad at all.
