Sahara Tent is a well-known Arabian
restaurant among Shah Alam folks. Nestled in the popular shopping mall of Plaza
Shah Alam, this restaurant is known for serving one of the best Arabian cuisine
in the area. Originated from New Zealand, Sahara Tent opened its first outlet
on April 1993 in Auckland. After gaining recognition across the world, they finally
came to Malaysia in 2001 and started receiving a lot of acknowledgments by the
local big names. Only in 2009 they decided to start their operation in Shah
Alam.
Entering the place, you will be taken aback
by the interior and décor. Somehow, you will feel like you are on a short trip to
a middle east country for a moment. Red and green fabrics hanging around the
dining area, vibrant red seats, dark furniture, and some ornamentation
representing Middles East culture, everything in here makes you feel like you
are having dinner under colourful Bedouin tents. Hence, ‘Sahara Tent’. The place
offers a cosy ambience with two private dining areas with each capable of
holding up to a party of 10. Patrons may choose to dine in the cool indoor area
or the breezy outdoor balcony.
In line with the authentic setting, they also offer a variety of authentic Arabian delicacies. Diners can choose from Soup, Salad, Entrée, Main Course, to Dessert, and everything tastes wonderful. Biryani Chicken, Cous – Cous, Mix Grill, and Kabsa Lamb are among the customers’ popular picks. They are also offering a few dishes that features fish for people who prefers seafood.
