As suggested by the name, Spaghetti Sweet Tea Café is an eatery specializing in spaghetti and Italian food in general, with its banner resembling the Italian flag. They first started out at Greentown Nova, but had subsequently relocated to Medan Ipoh Bistari in Ipoh Garden East, at one of the shop lots near Tesco. The interior of the restaurant is simple but comfortable with wooden tables and chairs while tasteful paintings ornament the walls. The staffs are cheerful and attentive, doing their best to explain the items on the menu as well as their specialties to the customers.
The menu is simple and straightforward, separated into various categories ranging from salads and sandwiches to risotto, soups and dessert. The spotlight definitely falls on their pasta. The Turkey Ham Spaghetti is laden with slices of slightly salty turkey ham and fresh rocket leaves, which gives the pasta a refreshing, minty spin. The spaghetti used is from the best quality batches produced by Barilla, a world’s leading pasta manufacturer. They are cooked to an al-dente perfection. You can opt to have your pasta with tomato paste, brown sauce, spicy Asian brown sauce or tomato paste.
If you are looking for an appetizer or something light, do give their Panini a try. Panini is an Italian-style sandwich consisting of ham, cheese and rocket leaves inserted into toasted buttery ciabatta bread. It is served with fresh lettuce drizzled with lemon dressing.
Their selection of desserts includes three items: Rice
Pudding, Chocolate Cream Cake and Tiramisu. Their Tiramisu is light, spongy and
creamy at the same time.
