their glutton side of things through the power of Ramadhan bazaar. It is nearly impossible to walk out of a Ramadhan bazaar empty handed. Instead
you would usually find yourself going over budget because of the irresistible temptations
available. Majority of the people at Ramadhan bazaars are usually Muslims
looking for tasty treats to break their fast with, but the number of
non-Muslims visitors have only seem to grow year after year. Taman Melawati
Ramadhan Bazaar is not the only popular one of its kind in KL but it is
considered one of the most crowded.
There are so many foods sold here but there are a number
of items popular for the obvious reason. Starting off with the Tepung Pelita
stall, this local dessert is served in a banana leaf bowl or boat. It is quite the
common dish but this stall set themselves apart from others with the delectable
taste of their product, which then leads to the constant presence of a long
line of people. Another popular choice is the Popia truck that does their
spring rolls fresh in front of your eyes. Come in two types; fried and ‘wet’
(basah), depending on your taste you could for one or both without any regrets.
Other worthy options include the Ikan Bakar and Tauhu Anora.
Taman Melawati Ramadhan Bazaar is known to be notoriously
filled with people that traffics and having to queue is
the norm. So how to know which stall sells the best? After all, there’s sure to
be more than one stall selling the same thing. The amount of people lining
up is enough of an indication on which stall to go to.
