The city of Kuala Lumpur has been known to boast some of the finest Japanese restaurants and Tatsu Japanese Cuisine is no exception to the list. Nestled inside Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur, Tatsu has become one of KL’s most established Japanese restaurant to serve authentic Japanese food with a modern twist.
The word Tatsu originated from the word “Tatsu-jin” which means master or expert. As the name suggests, Tatsu houses an expert under their roof which is chef Tommy Kuan Soon Heng who runs the restaurant with 2 decades of experience and achievements in the culinary world under his belt.
Tatsu really defines Japanese fine dining by utilizing its huge space decorated with dark timber interior. Accommodating up to 147 seats, the restaurant offers up to five styles of seating space which includes a sushi bar, a teppanyaki room and private sake bars.
The sake bar offers a wide variety of Shochu,Sake and Wine. Guests will be able to choose up to 20 different flavours of alcoholic drinks. On the other hand, the sushi bar serves the freshest seafood flown in from Japan twice a week to maintain a high quality of standards.
