Tea Point is nestled
within the newly opened Armenian Street Heritage Hotel in Georgetown. This
Taiwanese franchise cafe provides a good spot for tired tourists to rest their
legs and get a drink after walking around the tourist spots of Armenian Street.
It serves a wide range of coffee, tea and fruit beverages styled with
interesting toppings. The shop itself look relatively simple, with a small
seating capacity. A few wooden tables and white canopies can be seen at the
shop front while drinks have to be ordered at the counter.
The shop’s drinks offer a great value for money and the flavours are unique. The Banana Chocolate Ice Blended is delectable, with the strong flavour of banana going perfectly with the bittersweet chocolate. It is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and drizzled with an abundance of chocolate syrup—definitely one for the sweet-toothed.
The Potted Mango
Milkshake is also a must-try, having drawn inspiration from potted tiramisus
and potted ice-creams. It is delicately covered with soft cocoa powder and
topped with mint leaves. The milkshake is creamy and fragrant with a light hint
of mango. You can also try their Potted Latte and Potted Rose Milk Tea from the
same series.
Do also sample their
Iced Lemon Herbal Tea, which is a perfect blend of the heavenly fragrance of herbs
and strong kicks of lemon. You can choose to include some add on in every drink
such as ice-cream, chewy jelly and red bean. Finally, grab a muffin to go with
your drink.
