We’ve seen buffets that offer international cuisines, but I bet you’ve never tried a buffet that features Vegetarian Gujarati Cuisines. The highlight of this small Indian café located at the heart of Bangsar is that it encourages a healthy lifestyle to those living in the busy city. The cuisines featured in the menu of The Ganga Café are vegetarian with no MSG and no colouring and cooked with less oil and salt which makes it so much healthier. The Ganga Café’s menu was more extensive back then but after the current owners took over, they decided to simplify the menu with mostly dishes with their own recipes to ensure quality on every dish. Like its menu, the interior of the café is also very simple but decent that gives out a very comfortable ambience and the smell home-cooked food throughout the café adds in a homey feel.
While a la carte meals are served for breakfast, dinner and lunch, one of the events to take note about The Ganga Café would be their Sunday brunch buffet which offers a broad selection of unlimited Indian cuisines for a price below RM20. Their Sunday brunch features a range of Ganga Cafés signature dishes and new creative menus for all you can eat.
If you happen to visit the store during a weekday, definitely try out their Banana Leaf rice that comes with a variety of size platters from large to small to suit the appetite of heavy and light eaters. They also offer a broad selection of Chapatis in their menu with a number of nutritious options. Also, try out their rice sets with a choice of either brown, briyani or tomato rice that comes with papadum.
