Sporting a rather simple yet eye-catching exterior incorporating baby blue hues and white coloration, Wanderlust -previously known as Departure Lounge; located in the vicinity of Solaris, Mont Kiara, brings forth a myriad of decadent eats which are indubitably results of exemplary innovation in the culinary scene.

Interior wise, patrons will be ushered into a brightly lit cafe carrying a modern touch where the central theme revolves around the concept of minimalism, where practicality is more emphasised. Spacing is rather well proportioned, with tables positioned adequately to provide comfortable sitting while not restricting the movements of the staffs or other patrons in general.

In terms of food fare, this particular cafe takes pride in churning out delectable fusion food that may well be out of the ordinary. Take for instance, their Flaming Fried Chicken dish served along with fiery hot sauce as well as spiced watermelons(?). Intriguing, isn't it? Trust us when we say we're as perplexed as you guys are but rest assured, the taste is far from disappointing. In fact, beyond the initial surprise, patrons will find that the presence of the watermelons are well justified in the wake of the spicy chicken dish, providing an alternative cooling factor to the otherwise palate-scorching dish. A harmony between hot and cool, so to speak.

Apart from that, if you ever find yourself within the premises of Wanderlust, be sure to give their signature Trio of Gua Bao is try. In essence, it's a dish incorporating three Chinese buns where two are fried to glorious golden brown coloration with the third sandwiched between the fried variants. Each bun is generously stuffed with succulent fried chicken thighs seasoned with curry-like spices for added flavour.

However, if you're a rather voracious eater in epic quest for substantial food, perhaps you'd like to take a look at Wanderlust's rendition of Tiger Prawn pasta, where hand-made pumpkin pasta meets savoury salted egg yolk sauce topped with one plump and juicy grilled Tiger prawn. Flavour in every mouthful with a sizeable portion to boot. Steaks and chops are also part of the menu, if you are more inclined to having a carnivorous meal for the day.

Of course, in Wanderlust, it is a waste to leave without having a cup of their smooth and rich coffee straight out from their expresso bar, thus be sure to peruse their menu for a caffeinated beverage that will surely pique your interest.
