Crack Pork joined in as the new porky stop located at The Strand Kota Damansara. Serving up few but decadently delicious food, it has been getting rave as one of the best place to have a porky affair.
Crack Pork
has been in the pork business for a while through deliveries but this time
around, they have a proper shop to better get their products out to the general
market. Occupying only half a shop, the other half is a health food store
(ironic), the shop can be quite easy to miss. Just be sure to keep a look out
for a simple sign of black and white with the words ‘Crack Pork’ and you know
you’re in the right place.
Crack Pork focuses more on the food as the interior
is kept minimal with only a number of seating, which to be expected from the
size of the shop. Even so, don’t let a little wait stop you from trying out
what Crack Pork has to offer.
The
ultimate food from their list would have to be the roast pork. Roasted in the
Chinese style, the pork belly, also known as siu yuk, is made from premium
Sakura pork that has no beta agonist and antibiotic. This elevates the pork to
a healthier level without compromising its taste.
The other pork counterpart is
the western Porchetta, herb roasted pork tenderloin wrapped with pork belly.
Each of the pork can be ordered by the 100-gram or by the kilo, for a price of
course. Patrons could also choose to have it like it is, with rice, inside a sandwich,
mantou (best selling Peking Pork), or ciabatta. Crack Pork has only one dessert, the Salted Caramel Bacon
Tart, while drinks come in freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee.
