While most restaurants do offer a vegetarian option in their menu, a fully vegetarian restaurant is not as much in the booming scene of the Malaysian food industry. Go Go Green is one of such restaurant that’s located at the Subang Jaya’s Aeon Big mall building.
A vegetarian slash
vegan restaurant, Go Go Green may not be as big in size but with cuisines from
all over the world; Korean, Japanese, Chinese, as well as some local
favourites, each dish still have the same great taste. Going
‘green’ doesn’t just mean forgoing any animal products; it also contributes to
a healthier lifestyle. Some restaurants would still use flour in their
vegetarian dishes but Go Go Green substitutes that with mushrooms, bean curds,
and vegetables.
The Tom Yam Fried Rice has a distinct tom yam flavour without being overbearingly sour or spicy. The Herbal Nabe is done in a similar style like the Chinese bak kut teh, without the meat of course. Served in a clay pot, the concoction consists of mushrooms and bean curd with a moderate herbal taste. The meal comes with a set with brown rice, pieces of fried breadstick, and some fruits. The Japanese Cha Soba is a simple dish of green tea buckwheat noodles, cold dipping broth, with some wasabi and seaweed. Nasi Lemak at Go Go Green consists of the usual rice, peanuts and sambal while the rest are substitute with potato curry and long bean.
Go Go
Green is highly praised for their attentive service. The complimentary dessert
after a meal does not hurt either in the road to establish themselves within
the community. Other selections also include Kimchi Pancake, Sushi, Gyoza Soup, Bento Set, and Curry Set.
