Mizi Shabu Shabu is a Japanese-style steamboat restaurant located in Puchong where every single customer has their own pot to cook the ingredients to their own likings. Besides, it is also more hygienic that way. The interior of the restaurant is furnished comfortably with simple furniture and also air-condition to offset the heat from the rising steam. Decorated with fake bamboo trees and branches of cherry blossoms, the restaurant is decorated ala Japan.
The ingredients are ordered in
an ala carte style here. Their pork slices have the perfect ratio of lean meat
and fats, which melt in your mouth. The Lamb Slices leave a pleasant aftertaste
on your tongue while the Beef Slices are thin and only take a few seconds to
cook, curling up beautifully inside the pot. The meat tastes nice as it is, but
dipping them in Mizi Shabu Shabu’s special Dipping Sauce definitely enhances
your palate. It is made of simple ingredients such as sesame seed, spring onions,
chilli and fried shallots. Aromatic, sweet and slightly salty, you’ll
definitely get a kick from the chilli.
Their broth definitely takes
the spotlight. If you opt to cook your meal in chicken soup, the friendly
servers will provide you with an extra plate of ingredients containing
coriander leaves, spring onions, potatoes and carrots to throw in for extra
flavour. For the tomyam broth, you start off with a clear pot but are provided
with a plate containing lemongrass, onions and tomyam paste to concoct the soup
by yourself.
