It is said that the cook originates from Thailand and has brought the Thai flavours over to Malaysia building a small foundation with great culinary food works. Although the restaurant isn’t up to its classy look, the food here is said to bring you only the best tastes of Thai cuisine so be sure not to miss this gem when you’re in the area.
The restaurant’s setting is built with iron grills around, with a maroon canvas like tent right up front. A few of their specialty dishes are printed in white to give customers a quick view of what they serve. The signboard is placed perpendicular to the restaurant allowing an easier view for customers coming from both ends of the road. The atmosphere is pretty decent and ventilation is fairly satisfactory.
The significance of Thai Somtam Seafood is that their dishes are not the usual Bangkok-style cuisine. The food served is similar but the flavours are much spicier and pungent. The reason being is that the food from Isaan, Thailand is famous for its piquant taste.
