Started its operation earlier this year,
The Pantry is a new addition of neighbourhood cafés in Bangsar. Founded by Chef
David Lee who is a Cordon Bleu-trained chef, this recently open eatery is
offering reachable gastronome café experience, tailored for the multiracial
community in the Bangsar area. French methods on quality produce and ingredients
that are obtained locally and imported from overseas are used by their culinary
team. Their goal is to generate wonderful blend of comfort food and healthy
dishes while interpreting their version of café classics. One thing that they
are proud of is the fact that their baked goods – breads, buns, cakes,
desserts, macarons, sauces and dressings are all freshly prepared in-house from
scratch.
The lovely vintage-style shop entrance can
attract every person who pass by. It gives a cosy and homey atmosphere to the café
with the pastel colour theme and relatively simple yet modern interior. Inside,
you can see people flashing away their cameras and phones to take the perfect
Instagram shot. Décor aside, let’s now focus on what this café has to offer. They
provide diverse menu for brunch and for lunch onwards. For those who comes for
brunch, there are a few choices to select from – Egg Benedict, Poached Eggs,
The Pantry Big Breakfast, Eggs Florentine, Croissant and many others. On the
lunch menu, you can spot some pretty interesting selections such as Mushroom Soups, Smoked Duck Breast Salad, and Pasta Aglio Olio.
Nevertheless, patrons also love to come in just to grab a cup of great coffee with a plate of delicious dessert. Rose & Raspberry Croissant or Passionfruit Cheesecake with a cup of Flat White made from Pulp by Papa Palheta blend, is the usual pair ordered by their loyal customers. For a good experience of café classics with a touch of French cuisine, The Pantry is surely an interesting choice.
