New York Pizza is a well-known
pizza parlour located in the state of Penang that was established in 2012. The
establishment opened up their first outlet in Sungai Dua, and has since gained
the popularity and success to open up two more branches in Jalan Irrawady and
Union Street. When it comes to the interior of the restaurant, it is quite
spacious and well planned layout, with a very relaxing and inviting ambience,
making it a very good place for gatherings.
As far as the food is concerned,
it should come as no surprise that there are a number of pizza toppings to
enjoy (it is in the name after all). Some of these include mushroom chicken/ham,
pepperoni, BBQ Chicken, Margherita, spicy tuna, and a whole lot more. These
pizzas are classically hand tossed and made fresh on a regular basis.
While the pizzas are the staple
here, regulars here often attribute the success of the restaurant to the
burgers, which is certainly unexpected coming from a pizza parlour. Initially,
the burgers were simply side dishes to go along with the pizzas, in a similar
fashion to the pasta variety available here. The grilled burgers use whole meat
(particularly chicken and beef) for their patties to make burgers such as “Queens
II”, “Broadway”, “Yellow Cab”, “Big Apple”, “Brooklyn Brawl”, and “The Little
Mermaid” to name a few.
So if you’re looking for a pizza
parlour and burger joint squeezed into a single package, then there aren’t many
other options outside of New York Pizza.
