Located within the neighbourhood of
Buntong, Falim and Menglembu, Kedai Makanan Dan Minuman Desa Rishah is a
popular coffee shop that serves one of the best Beef Noodles in town. With its
bright orange signboard facing the one-lot shop, it’s pretty easy to spot this nearly
10-year-old eatery. Do expect a crowded shop whenever you want to drop by.
However, don’t look at it as a negative thing. It simply means that whatever
food they are offering it is pretty darn good. Walking in the restaurant, you
will not see any menu on the wall or on the table. It’s best to ask around and
opt for something that sounds and looks delicious.
Apart from the very famous Buntong Beef Brisket
Noodles (Ngau Lam Meen), patrons can also settle for a plate of Dry “Lou Shu
Fun” with a serving of Beef Briskets in soup. If you are not really a fan of
beef, you can always go for the classic “Liew Fun”, or better known as fish
ball noodles. You can select your favourite type of noodles, prepared in soup
or dry (mixed with soy sauce and dark soy sauce), and finally your choice of
sides from the range of both fried and boiled “Liew’s”.
So, whenever you are out of options on
where to eat in Ipoh, why not try the delectable beef noodles Kedai Makanan Dan
Minuman Desa Rishah for a change. They are also popular for their “Tai Yuen”,
or Big Balls, which is a mixture of beef tendon, meat and yam bean. Yummy!
