Amidst the tall buildings, modern city and bustling streets of Melbourne, Australia lies an old chocolate factory, in which Breakfast Thieves has called home since 2012. Of course, in today’s world in which Breakfast Thieves was built upon, they are bound to refurbish their humble abode to suit the current generation. Co-founders and Malaysians Brandon Chin, Edwin Koh and Kevin Foo thought it would be a great idea to open up a shop back home and so they attempted to recreate the similar popularity that has saw their shop often ranked amongst the top five cafes in Melbourne.
The Leprechaun, which is made of crisp sweet corn and zucchini fritters with earthy creamed mushroom, pickled radish, avocado mousse and poached eggs is a dish to look out for if you happen to find yourself inside. The Legend, spicy baked eggs with chunky beef salami, okra, caramelised onion jam, mushroom, sweet corn, basil oil with herbed garlic toast also is a must try. Espresso-based drinks are also available to go with your morning meal.
