Once upon a time, two young minds had an idea to revolutionise
the burger industry in Malaysia. That was 5 years ago. Now, the entrepreneurs
have a company that own the brand Kaw Kaw Burger Bakar. They are said to be the
pioneers of the idea behind the perfection of grilled homemade patties. What
started as a burger stall now has turned into a functional street kiosk. Kaw
Kaw Burger Bakar now has six street kiosks, a diner and a production house.
There are 20 choices to choose from in their Burger
Bakar menu, with a maximum of ten levels of burger patties. Newbie’s or lightweights
could opt for the single patty burger, with or without cheese, with a choice to
add in bacon, with more cheese. Those who feel adventurous, or had skipped
lunch and dinner, could go for the triple series; Triple Beef Baconizer, Triple
Beef Cheezynizer, or a simple Triple Cheese (choice of beef or chicken). Another
of their unique creation is called the Burger Kahwin, a double burger of
chicken and beef patties. Other options in their menu also includes the lamb
burger Lambernizer, a Malaysian version of Cheezy Fries, and the slow-cooked Fraggy,
a combination of potato wedges, chicken sausage, sautéed onions, chilli
pickles, cheesy sauce and smoked BBQ sauce.
Ranging from around RM10 – RM20, with the handmade patties and the size of not-your-average burger, the price (and wait) is worth the money. With a long line of crowd every single night, really the only way for Kaw Kaw Burger Bakar to go is up, or further behind to a longer line.
