As the name indicates, Ipoh LSY-Pot is originated
from Ipoh before opening their second outlet in Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru.
Taking pride in providing one of the best Claypot Loh Shu Fun and Ipoh-Bercham
Claypot Rice in Malaysia, this eatery is run by two brothers who inherited their
mother’s recipe. First up, give the Claypot Loh Shu Fun a try. Once your order
is done, it will be served piping hot in a clay pot with needle like rice flour
noodles which is semi-transparent and it comes with a slightly chewy texture. In
the pot, you will get prawns, sliced pork, egg, and fish cakes. The scrumptious
gravy is what holds the noodle delicacy together, making it such a pleasant
bowl of bee tai bak. Patrons are also able to add a few drops of black vinegar
to enhance its flavour as a whole.
Another crowds’ favourite dish here is the Ipoh-Bercham Claypot Rice which is prepared alongside some tender chicken chunks, salted fish and sausages. Prepared over charcoal fire, you can instantly smell the aroma of the rice and other ingredients filing the air once it is served to you. As the finishing touch, some homemade dark sauce made from 8 different ingredients is added into the rice resulting in a great combination of flavours coating every single piece of the rice grain. Tips: the place can be quite difficult to find. You might want to use Google Maps for assistance. So, for a nice experience of claypot cuisine, Ipoh LSY-Pot is worth a visit.
