Restoran Meisek is a Chinese
restaurant and coffee shop that’s located in USJ 14, Subang Jaya. The
restaurant is open throughout most of the day and it houses numerous hawker
stalls, all of which have different operating hours which make them only
available for certain meals of the day. As such, the crowds that come to get
some of the food here can be overwhelming, and it has been this way for many
years. Beyond that, some of the stalls here have their own unique story or
selling point that set them apart from the others.
For instance, the Sarawak Corner
stall is run by a Sarawakian couple, Patrick Lim and his wife. The husband and
wife duo specialise in serving two authentically Sarawakian dishes, namely the
Sarawak laksa and kolo mee. Many of the Sarawakians that now live in the
Peninsula can attest to it’s authenticity, which is greatly attributed to the
use of key ingredients like the Sarawak laksa paste.
Then there’s the char kuey teow
stall that stands out for being in the minority for using lap cheong (Chinese
sausages) in the plate of char kuey teow. There’s also the stall named Lian Kee
Chicken Rice, a chicken rice stall that preserves the trademark Ipoh chicken
rice recipe the country has fallen in love with, and customers appreciate this
considering the large crowds that go for it during dinner time.
In short, there’s plenty to enjoy
here at Restoran Meisek; all of which can be enjoyed quickly and affordably.
