After a major facelift done to the name, Castell Gastrobar has made a comeback after a mild downfall. Started its operation dated back in the year 1970, Castell has been a gem to the locals for many years as the place pioneered western dishes the minute it was set up in the middle of Section 16.
Ranked as the best Steak Bar in town, Chef John Lee being one of the originals of the Castell Family has revived the place back to its wonder years. Many have had a great experience dining in the place only to come back again every month afterwards. With the original bar refurbished at the upper floor, it is now added with a pool table and electronic dart boards to become a much-defined sports bar. Overall, it's pretty rustic and beautiful.
Reviving the good old days may not be an easy task especially with a highly valued name hanging on its doorway, Chef John manage to bring back the place’s old favourites such as the Stilton Steak Special, Prawn Cocktail, Baked King Prawns and the best-selling Castell Spring Chicken.
A little bit of modern twist has been added such as the Dragon Wings and, Sang Har Pasta. The side dish such as the salads is also next to uh-ma-zing with sugary walnuts added to the dish that enhanced the sweetness at a just amount. The restaurant’s speciality, Op Rib Steak platter can cater for more than one person, unless if you are able to stuff a 750g of Australian beef down your throat at a go, be our guest.

Beverage-wise, assorted cocktails, wines and beers are available to wash your meal down. Not a booze person? Coffees and fresh juices do not disappoint too.
This is the place to be for carnivores with a big appetite who don't compromise quality and variety.
