Nestled in USJ9 of Subang Jaya, 46 by Project Gibraltar serves one of the best hand brewed coffee in town. If you can find it, that is. Speakeasy being its concept with practical simplicity in mind, this is one cafe that doesn't "scream" for attention. It's subtle, and that very notion is portrayed by its front entrance, which is nondescript at best, so much so that customers may be more likely to stumble across it unintentionally.
Interior wise, if you are a first timer, bringing a pair of shades would probably be wise if you are not acclimated to extensively bright colours. White, in particular. Sporting an array of white-coloured theme furniture with an occasional wooden brown here and there to offset the startlingly white setting, this cafe serves a limited but decadent food fare to its patrons. In general, the desserts are available for those craving for snacks to fill their rumbly tummy and they usually come in the form of cakes though only recently 46 have included savoury ham and egg croissant in their menu.
But desserts aside, patrons are usually here for the coffee, all hand-brewed and crafted by masterful artisan of the trade. Using coffee beans outsourced from Papa Palheta and also Seraph Awaken, patrons and coffee connoisseurs can have their pick of expresso, mocha or affogato.
If you are more partial to sweeter beverages, opt instead for their Salted Caramel Expresso Milkshake, S'more Expresso Milkshake or Lavender Flower Pot Milkshake. Tea lovers are not left out as well, with tea flavours ranging from Western varieties such as English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Chamomile, to Asian variants such as matcha or Lapsang Souchong tea. It's also noteworthy to mention that this place houses rather exotic crafted beers and ciders imported from Belgium, France, Australia as well as Japan.
