How do you like your meat? I don’t know about you but I like mine sizzling and fresh off the grill. Here at Shinmapo, they provide an amazing Korean barbecue dining experience with helpful staffs, high quality meat and beautifully crammed tables.
This famous chain specializing in Korean BBQ has 3 outlets in total, we went to the first outlet which has been running for 3 years and located at SS15 Courtyard. With a relaxing and well-lit atmosphere along with your favourite K-pop tracks buzzing in the background, Shinmapo has successfully created a great ambience for a Korean barbecue restaurant.
We were served their Ultimate Pork Set which has 2 sets and is prefect for 1-2 pax (RM98) or 2-4 pax (RM128). The set comes with their signature pork skirt meat, pork belly, marinated pork collar, mixed grill platter, dried pollock soup, kimchi egg crust and variety of side dishes. Furthermore, we have got add-ons: bbudae jjigae (RM15), cheese sausage (RM15), enoki bacon (RM20) and Volcano fried rice (RM25)
Leave the cooking worried about looking like an idiot when eating Korean BBQ because the staffs has got your back here at Shinmapo. Our favourite part was definitely their signature pork skirt meat, it was so lean and apparently has to be limited to 200g per serving as it is very difficult to get their hands on. While waiting for the meats to cook, we helped ourselves to the fluffy kimchi egg crust and slurpy bbudae jjiagae. Lastly, the Volcano fried rice was phenomenal – with the flavourful fried rice surrounded with fluffy scrambled eggs. Whether you are having a celebration or a gathering, Shinmapo is perfect place for large groups because they can promise you juicy meats, fluffy eggs and happily-stuffed bellies.
