Maggi instant noodles have been partially part of Malaysia’s "staple food" for generations. It's quick, simple to cook and oh so delicious. Then again, the MSG is probably the one that’s kicking in all the flavours. But like any other young guilt free person the phrase “once in a while” is always at the tip of our tongues. In the bustling city of Ipoh along Laluan Taman Meru 1A, you’ll be able to find Maggi Ketam Sham that’s been the talk of many locals. Maggi Ketam literally means Maggi crab in direct translation. This restaurant gives a full focus on switching up a notch with the simple Maggi recipe by adding a large crab into your bowl.

You’ll be sure to love this dish as it is said to be one of the best dishes that’s full of flavour. Although a simple recipe and meal, you’ll be sure to love this amazing place. Located somewhere near Kilang Sydney and Kedai Makan Syuhada near the roadside. The restaurant is Malay styled open space restaurant. A large banner is tied against the fence and part of the roof. It may be slightly difficult to look out for the sign at night so do drive slower once you’re close by.

Sham’s menu is simple and straightforward. The Maggi crab is their signature dish. Bear in mind that the crab is a large crab. Sometimes the crab doesn’t even fit the bowl so you may be served with some of its legs jutting out awkwardly. A true delectable cuisine. If you do not want the crab you can substitute it with prawns which is much cheaper than the crab. The prawns served are huge in size as well so rest assured you’ll be full and satisfied.
