Antipodean café takes on a soulful style and bringing the Aussie culture to life in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. This café holds quite an impressive stand with several awards and finalists for best cafés around KL. The goal of this café is to create a meeting place, a central spot where expatriates and locals can meet, chat, gossip, romance and just chilling out over a cup of good brewed coffee. Antipodean also tries their very best to ensure the café culture will continue to flourish from the point on when their doors are open.
Structured in a stunningly modern and hip café setting, you’ll be absolutely enthralled by their design both interior and exterior. The café fashions around an Australian style; a Westernised setting for the urban KL society. Due to an overwhelming response from happy customers, you won’t be surprised to see expats with children and sometimes their pets (indeed a pet-friendly place) together. At times it may get rather pack, so you may have to wait awhile to get a table. Expect not only well-polished and modern interior designs but as well as good food and coffee.
Antipodean has worked hard to offer a uniquely “antipodean” style café food menu. A range of Western and Asian style dishes cooked One of their favourites would be the BLT on sour dough bread, double salmon fish cakes, Burmese Shredded Chicken salad as well as a plethora of delicious and healthy breakfast choices. The menu is fixed in a way where certain meals are set for before and after 11am. Aside from the mains, there’s a range of good coffee for the coffee lovers. If you’re a real all time coffee fan, do try the Ngobo Estate Plunger/Pour Over where the coffee beans are 11 years aged. An absolute crowd pleaser and worth visiting at least once and you’ll probably head back more.
