Red Kettle
Whipping up their own pancake batter, Red Kettle comes up with their own tier of Dorayaki-sized pancakes. In their Malaysian Pancakes, you will find the layers filled with corn, coconut and peanuts. The pancakes are perfectly cooked to have a soft, spongy texture. It is then drizzled with a generous amount of coconut sauce while an adorable tiny milk pitcher is filled with some fragrant Gula Melaka syrup to complete the dish. Do not take too many photos with this because it is best taken warm before the coconut sauce soaks up the pancakes.

Antipodean
Despite being labelled as one of the best breakfast place to dine in KL (Bangsar), Antipodean does serve some humble pancakes as well. Mini in size but big in flavour. Rich, moist and slightly dense mini pancakes with butterscotch sauce and sliced bananas stuffed within them. Undeniably good.More infoAntipodean View restaurant

The Daily Grind
We do not know why in fresh hell does anyone serve pancakes with half a Barbie on top – it looks gruesome, and sad. Having said that, it was not after 10 minutes that we understood the purpose. It acts as a dancing dress-thing. Having said that, the pancake was pretty good indeed. Grilled bananas, peanut butter and almond praline served in between chocolate chip pancakes and topped with chocolate sauce. It was really quite an amazing dish.More infoThe Daily Grind View restaurant

Tray Cafe
A simple serving of pancakes with sliced oranges and cherry tomatoes sprinkled with pomegranate seeds. A slightly sour-ish approach to pancakes compared to the convention sweet and savory version. The idea was simply unique but may be hard to be accepted by some. The slightly more citrus taste profile was undeniably interestingMore infoTray Cafe View restaurant

Munching Mob
Munching Mob's take on pancakes isn't very unique, but it is definitely done correctly. Pancakes are not only soft and fluffy, but has a nice balance of density as well. Stacked upon one another and topped with a scoop of earl grey ice cream with a side of syrup, finished with toasted almond flakes and shaved coconut. It's simple, easy to eat and absolutely delicious. Anything more would've overcomplicated such a dessert.

Beary Potter Studio Cafe
Beary Potter Studio Cafe may be a pun for Harry Potter, but heck do they serve a pretty good set of savoury pancakes. Perfectly round and flawless, the pancakes are both airy and fluffy. Served with a tsunami of melted cheese (parmesan and cheddar mix), chicken & mushroom sausage and a side of salad. Simple, hearty and absolutely delicious.
