While its name might have you believe it's a kopitiam, Kedai Kopi Nanking is definitely more of a hawker stall outlet than it is a kopitiam. This is because the restaurant has more stall outlets than other kopitiams out there, not to mention the iconic marble tables and chairs usually seen at a kopitiam are nowhere to be found here. The surrounding area is crowded with commercial office and shop lots, as such, it's commonplace to find the restaurant quite crowded.
The great thing about Kedai Kopi Nanking is that the stalls available and the food served vary slightly depending on the meal of the day. For instance, during lunch time, the duck rice stall is a big favourite amongst the customers, who are largely made up of office workers out for their lunch break. For dinner and supper, the variety starts getting more extravagant, with the char kuey teow stall, Chinese ramen, and prawn mee stall that never fails to impress. On top of these, there are a number of other noteworthy dishes that can be shared with a large group of people such as dumplings, Hokkien noodles, fried rice, bak kut teh, carrot cake, fried oysters, rojak, and a whole lot more.
To go along with all this food, drinks such as Chinese tea, leong sui, leng chee kang, coffee, soft drinks, and a few others can be enjoyed here. So if you're ever around the Taipan Business Centre, it would be a shame to miss out on trying out some the favourites available at Kedai Kopi Nanking.
