Best Duck Rice in PJ

A popular go-to hawker centre in SS2, Restoran OK houses a famous Teochew Roast Duck hawker stall. The duck here is stewed Teochew-style, unlike the more conventional roast ducks here. Tender and moist, the duck sits on a plate of delicious Teochew stew sauce which has a good balance of saltiness and sweetness. Besides that, Fatty Duck also serves an array of other dishes such as vegetables and mushrooms.

An extremely renowned Chinese restaurant in PJ, Loong Foong Seafood is almost constantly packed with patrons. The bestselling dish here is the roast duck whereby it is almost impossible for you to encounter a table without the dish under this roof. The roast duck here is absolutely a winner - deemed as one of the finests in PJ by many loyal customers.

Another stunner in the scene, Restoran Sunrise's signature dish is our focus of the day: Duck rice. The place is crowded from opening to closing and typically sells out by noon (seriously? Yes). There are only two dishes here: duck and oyster-sauced vegetables. Despite the rather narrow menu, the restaurant has no problems sustaining easily especially with such divine roasted duck in its expertise.

Mr. Low is the middle-aged man behind Jiang's famous roast ducks. He does everything from scratch all by himself - from cleaning to marinating and sometimes, even serving. After marination, the ducks are left to dry for at least six hours before getting roasted in a traditional charcoal oven. All the efforts Mr. Low puts in into his ducks are evidently on point when it comes to taste and texture; thus eventually earning some very well deserved fame and recognition.

As the restaurant is named, Duck King's ducks are indeed kings. At this restaurant, you'll be able to find deliciously made Peking duck that is fresh, juicy and tender all at the same time. Besides ducks, the char siew is also very famous and well loved. Prices are definitely not as friendly as the other restaurants in this list as Duck King is a proper higher end Chinese restaurant. With that said, you'll be very comfortable here in air-conditioned and beautifully decorated environment!
