Chooi Yue Dim Sum
Highly hyped, Chooi Yue is specialized in dim sum and has circled around social media since the beginning of the trend. The Liu Sha Bao is said to be especially delicious with signature fillings such as pandan lotus besides the traditional Salted Egg Yolk. On top of that, the pao here are also very loved among goers. Prices are affordable too. Just like any other renowned restaurants, the waiting line and incoming crowds at Chooi Yue can be unforgiving.

Restoran Foh San
Only opened till mid-noon, Restoran Foh San is one of the extremely well-known dim sum houses in town. The place is rather grand looking compared to the other regular dim sum shops but prices are still competitive. Foh San stands firm against its competitors on the same street and is usually packed in the morning till noon. While the crowd dies down towards closing, expect to be potentially disappointed with some of the all-time favourite dim sum dishes to have already run out by then. Despite mixed reviews since its relocation in 2009, Foh San is still running fast and strong. The company also makes their own signature Mooncakes that sell like hotcakes especially during the Mid Autumn Festival!

Ming Court Hong Kong Tim Sum
Another famous dim sum restaurant, Ming Court is extremely packed especially during weekends and holidays. Either come really early or really late to avoid competing for tables. The dim sum here is not served in steam wooden baskets unlike other dim sum restaurants. While many recommend Ming Court, the restaurant is located on the same street as two other big dim sum shots. Therefore, expect to hear mixed reviews as different people will throw their never ending opinions and comparisons between the 'big 3'.

Restoran Yoke Fook Moon
Another one of the 'Big Three' dim sum makers in Ipoh, Yoke Fook Moon pretty much takes all the night crowds simply because it is one of the very few restaurants that open for dim sum at night. However, that's not the reason why the eatery became a food hub. The real reason lies in the dim sum itself. Claimed by many to be their favourite, it is not a breeze to win that title especially in Ipoh whereby there are many famous dim sums around within a smaller radius. Although service has been criticized, Yoke Fook Moon is still fully grounded and maintaining its reputation (in dim sum, that is).More infoRestoran Yoke Fook Moon View restaurant
