There are days where standard asian and western food might be boring to some, so an occasional change of pace might just do the trick. The only thing is, should it be Japanese? Italian? French? Russian? Well, why not Mexican instead? Their food are always well seasoned and spicy, which is similar to our Malaysian palette. Not only that, the constant use of corn-related ingredients are evident in most of its dishes. Thyme Out
Thyme Out, like others, is a simple and casual stall held in Taman Mayang's food court. Started by two Fajitas-loving friends, Thyme Out is home to great Mexican comfort food. Not only do they have a good grasp on Mexican flavours, everything on the menu is done to absolute perfection, without the need of overly expensive ingredients. At the end of the day, it boils back down to whether or not they are delicious, and the answer is, yes.

The Good Batch
The Good Batch isn't a Mexican restaurant, but they're a stunning cafe that does quite a number of impressive dishes. One of which is their Mexican Breakfast Wrap. A simple take on a breakfast meal that is served in a wrap, filled with avocados, scrambled eggs, strips of chicken, and some vegetables as well. The wrap itself is fairly moist, but might lack flavour to some as it's fairly plain. Not to worry as salt and pepper are available at your disposal.

Orale
If you are hankering for soft shell tacos or enchiladas, Orale is a good place to have them. Especially their Chili Cal Pescado Taco which comes with a grilled chilli lime fish over tangy slaw, pickled onions and Salsa de Pina. All this with prices that won't burn a hole in your pocket either.
