Yakitori is a simple yet succulent Japanese dish where chicken morsels are impaled with skewers and grilled over charcoal fire. Yes, it sounds and looks like a close cousin to satays and it does induce equal excitement too. After all, chicken-on-a-stick always has that magnetic appeal. Just like other famous Japanese dishes, it has travelled around the world and today, you can find an anatomy chart of chicken, vegetables and meat variants sharing space in the skewers. It may not be as ubiquitous as it is in Japan yet this spots certainly delivers on all accounts for an exemplary yakitori.
