Best Army Stew in KL

Written by Updated ago

Annyeonghaseyo! That means ‘hello’ in Hangul by the way. After our dalgakbi, Korean barbecue and Korean restaurants listicles, we are back at it again with a new addition to the Korean sensation and this time it’s a dish that will march right into everyone's stomachs and hearts - Korean army stew. Army stew/army base stew (Budae Jjigae) is a Korean-American fusion stew that dates back to 1954 - when the Korean War ended and the leftover food smuggled from America was cooked into a stew- it contains ham, sausage, spam, baked beans, kimchi and gochujang but many restaurants are having their own take on this hearty Korean dish.
