Located opposite Mezza9 in Empire Damansara, The Bagel Company is one of the very few bagel specialty cafes you can find around. As it is named, The Bagel Company is a haven on earth for all bagel lovers. Find an assortment of bagels served either plain or as a sandwich with various accompaniments. The cafe also offers bagel-izza, which is the fruit of a bagel and pizza. Expect poppy seed bagels with scrambled eggs, tuna, salmon, chicken, salami, or with simple cream cheese. Not a bagel fan but forced here to accompany someone? No worries as there are also a few other non-bagel options such as fish and chips, chicken chop, wedges and sometimes, some local delights such as curry mee. What's not to love, really?More info

Komugi Cafe
Since its beginnings, Komugi has been widely known for its artisanal Japanese breads, cakes and confectioneries that you can't find elsewhere in Malaysia. True enough, Komugi is one of the few bakeries that provide rarities like cronut, baum, fuwa-fuwa bun, krone and of course, bagel. While you may not be able to find bagels on their self service counter daily, Komugi offers a bagel burger that has been acclaimed for being very tasty. Departure Lounge
One of the very first brunch cafes in Uptown, Departure Lounge has managed to sustain for all these years albeit the influx of competitors in the area. Known for their customized breakfast, Departure Lounge is pretty much the only cafe that serves bagel in Damansara Utama so far. Baristas here have also been claimed to hold several awards. Thus, the coffee beverages at Departure Lounge (with beans imported from Common Man Coffee Roaster of Singapore) are made with expertise and quality. Here at Jalan Gasing, bagels are served with a twist. Expect to find a bagel sandwich of turkey ham, cream cheese and unexpected raspberry jam. While the combination sounds strange, many have been pleasantly surprised and impressed by this dish. Not an adventurous eater? Try their classic Smoked Salmon bagel then. Have a sweet tooth? Another cafe that was founded because Andrew was inspired by Melbourne's notable brunch culture, The Morning After yearns to embody Melbourne in Malaysia. As he says, "Life is too short to serve bad coffee" shows how much he takes his cafe seriously when it comes to making coffee. Emphasizing on its belief on how food and design matter to ensure a "gastronomical" experience, TMA, however, has been receiving mixed reviews by fellow foodies. Croisserie
A second branch to the original one in Damansara Heights, Croisserie has landed in the recently revamped Atria Shopping Gallery. As the space is quite small, daily offerings differ and thus, you may not be able to find a bagel here when you visit. Nonetheless, their other pastries are worth a try as the bakery has earned its reputation for its quick rise to being one of the best in KL.
