Blossom Deli Cafe
Blossom Deli Cafe is a simple place with only one aim - that is to make great cakes. Though their cakes aren't as fancy or modern as some of the cafes found in Klang Valley, theirs is still pretty neat. With the classics doing most of the sales, it's easy to see why people would head over just to get a slice of chocolate or carrot cake. Fluffy, light, airy and packed full of flavour. Each slice of their carrot cake will leave you wanting more. Not only that, the cream cheese is done quite nicely and generously, while providing moisture to the cake.

Swich Cafe
Swich Cafe is another great place for cakes and coffee, located in Atria Mall, PJ. This is their second outlet while the first is located in Publika. Not only is the cafe filled with soft toys and comfortable benches, they also have a strong array of cakes and pies, some of which are really popular. As for their carrot cake, it's a mix between carrot and cranberry. You'll get the best of both worlds with the flavours from the carrot and tardness from the berries. The thick layer of cream cheese on top too works well in binding everything together, and making it really moist.

Rekindle
Rekindle Cafe is an incredibly popular cafe in SS2, and a home to great cakes. They offer a variety of delectable fluffs such as the Death by Chocolate, Durian Coffee Mille Crepe, Red Velvet and of course, the signature carrot cake as well. It's done fairly nicely with enough air, allowing the cake to be fluffy and bouncy. Flavours aren't an issue either as Rekindle has put in quite the ingredients to make it as flavourful as possible. The cream cheese too seals the deal and just brings everything together. Tag along with a cup of coffee and you're all set!

123 Gasing
Known as one of the more photogenic places, 123 Gasing has a fairly strong crowd. Both for their coffee and cakes. The carrot cake at 123 Gasing isn't the most generous, nor the prettiest. But one thing for sure is that it's packed with a good amount of carroty flavour and cheese from the icing. It is also incredibly moist, perhaps one of the wettest amongst cafes. All and all, you can be certain that one slice isn't gonna be enough, so the recommended dosage is of course, three plates.

Crave Cafe
Crave Cafe is all about simplicity. From the decor to the style of food, everything is as raw as it gets. They also offer a good variety of cakes, most of which are the classics. So nothing overly fancy there. Having said that, the carrot cake here does have a slight twist. Instead of just having carrot and walnut, it's in a form of a gula melaka cake. The combination between these two gives it a sweeter outcome, but still retains both of their natural flavours. All and all, if you're into gula melaka and carrot cake, then this is one definitely worth trying.

P.S Tokyo Cafe
If you're looking for a great soft serve or rather, Japanese-flavour soft serve, PS Tokyo is the best place you can find. Its green tea soft serve is not only rich and delicate, it's incredibly smooth as well. On top of that PS Tokyo also offers a good selection of cakes, from Japanese cheese cake to sesame cake and of course, carrot cake as well. It's fluffy, light and flavourful. Nothing too complex, everything is done fairly well. Definitely recommended.
