RSMY House of Real Beriani (Restoran Selera MY)
If you’re a fan of ooey, gooey, melted cheese like we are, then head on to RSMY. This legendary restaurant has been a mega hit among KL-ites craving for a quick fix of cheese naan. Pulling apart the naan will reveal a whole lotta cheese, more than any pizza will ever give you. Pretty sure that the secret recipe throws in more than just your average cheese (we’re guessing Mozarella) but every bite was super chewy, yummy and did not disappoint. Oh, the dhal was heavenly too, genuine and definitely did not have the watery consistency that most mamaks have nowadays. Judging from the Instagram photos, a lot of people agree with our opinion.More info

Nathan's Corner
Nathan’s Corner’s Cheese Naan is probably the Bob Marley of all cheese naans with the strands of chese strewn all over the naan. Sound mouthwatering enough? If not, then feast your eyes on the accompanying photograph. Despite being not as famous as the other mamak in the OUG area, (read: Steven’s), Nathan’s holds its own ground when it comes to its cheese naan. Firstly, its visual aspect is just gorgeous and stands out from the rest. Instead of just melting the cheese as a simple middle layer between the crust, the geniuses threw them all onto the crust, creating what we here like to call; a beautiful mess. Messy is good when it comes to food presentation, especially when it’s all about the cheese.More info

What may seem like a normal Mamak restaurant, Mosin is definitely more than meets the eye. Unlike your usual cheese naan, a unique delicious twist is happening to Mosin’s Mumtaz Naan. Served on a usual steel thali plate, the flat leavened bread is cooked carefully to fluffy and soft with cheese filling in each nook and crook of the bread. A favourite among office workers during luncheon in Bukit Bintang, the restaurant has gained recognition not only for its signature beriani rice but also for its cheese naan which can be described with every positive word in the dictionary: scrumptious, delicious, yumm, etc. You name it.
