If you love Korean cuisine as much as we do, you must have been bound to try dakgalbi. Essentially a 'poor people dish', dakgalbi is ultimately made out of stir fried chicken and vegetables in the versatile Korean gochujang (red chili paste). The dish is originated from Chuncheon of the Gangwon province and thus, is also commonly known as Chunchŏn dakgalbi. If you're looking for some finger-licking and lip-smackingly good dakgalbi within Petaling Jaya, we've got you covered!

Daorae Korean BBQ
Well, we certainly can't say we were surprised to find out that Daorae fits right into this list too. An evident pioneer of Korean cuisine in Malaysia, Daorae has been living up to high expectations in (almost) every dish. Rustic and spicy are the main descriptive words for the dakgalbi here. It may not be made in front of you or served in a hot plate but one can definitely count on Daorae for a satisfying Korean meal!

Dae Jang Geum
Directly translated to Jewel in the Palace, Dae Jang Geum certainly has quite a bit to live up to just by its signboard. Over the years, however, the restaurant has gained a somewhat so-so reputation for inconsistency. Nonetheless, when the team performs, they certainly score high. The dakgalbi itself is delicious and seasoned to refinement, and the selection of banchan is really good!

Mr. Dakgalbi
If you proclaim yourself a dakgalbi lover but have not tried Mr. Dakgalbi, you need to get your butt to a branch near you pronto! There is no question that Mr. Dakgalbi serves the most wholesome and hearty dakgalbi around. Each table gets a personal chef who creates the perfect dakgalbi right in front of your eyes. You'll also get a couple of vegetable side dishes to stop that flowing saliva while you wait for your dakgalbi.

Bulgogi BBQ House
If you're looking for a BBQ house that has it all, Bulgogi House is a great option to dine at. As a parent of the recently closed Daebak Dakgalbi, you'll still be able to find the latter's infamous dakgalbi at Bulgogi House amongst other Korean dishes such as BBQ, jeon, kimchi jiggae and such. The best part is that the place is also great value for money!

Uncle Jang
If you don't mind sweating and bustling in a hot and humid environment, give Uncle Jang a go. Although we love the extra spicy dakgalbi here, nonspicy eaters can opt for the Original which is not spicy at all. Add toppings such as ramen, cheese, mushrooms and rice cakes to really bring out the oomph in dakgalbi!

ASA Dakgalbi
ASA Dakgalbi is one of the firsts to occupy Oasis Square when it was still developing. Located at the prime area right at the fountain pool, ASA is an ideal spot to hangout after work with some drinks and of course, dakgalbi! The cooks here are somewhat affectionate.... Don't be surprised if they shape your dakgalbi into a heart. They tend to do that a lot.
