The name of the restaurant might be more suited for a night club. However, the food served was definitely restaurant quality. Famous for 2 things – their pork and duck dishes (obviously). And with an array of choices to choose from, full/half rack pork ribs, cured ham, sausages, pork knuckle, roasted duck, stuffed duck and many more, it sure is a cholesterol-prone place to be. Its beckoning sight precedes the prodding of your knife and fork to get the drool going, as it builds up to tender, moist meat that comes off with just a gentle tuck of the teeth. Surely, ribs aren’t really ribs without a staple sweet and savoury glaze that glistens the dish; a must try for solo hunters or groups of munchers.

Pink Belly's BBQ sticky pork ribs is as its namesake. It's sticky, its doused in BBQ sauce with a hint of chili and its good. The ribs is succulent and sweet as anything. The ribs were cooked beautifully but it wasn't fork-tender as it was meant to be that way. Chef Yenni insisted on a rib that is not only tender but had a bite to it as well. The marination seemed pretty successful as the flavours were beautifully permeated. It's easy to go wrong with ribs. Overcook it and its tough. Undercook it and its raw. Brussel Galerie's take on the ribs is amazing because it combines both tenderness and texture. While it appears tough, the ribs surprisingly split apart easily. The meat is cooked with sweety sauce which gives it that unique sweet but not overpowering touch. With garden fresh salad to wash the flavor explosion down, certainly a must try.

The Barn
One of the more obvious things to take note of about the oven-roasted baby back pork ribs is that it is plated very well. The roasted vegetables, coleslaw and BBQ sauce are neatly placed on the side, and makes sure that the star of the show (the baby back pork ribs) is front and center. As for the ribs themselves, they're generously coated in their homemade BBQ sauce and herbs, and not in manner that's messy. The ribs are incredibly succulent and flavourful. Pairing this with the sauce takes the flavours of the dish even further. Another great thing to note is that the meat falls effortlessly off the bone, which makes eating an even greater pleasure.
