Best Duck Noodles in Melaka

Another local coffee shop in town that is situated at the corner of Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho. Long Hiang Coffee Shop serves great breakfast and the duck mee stall is usually one of the most busiest. The Duck Mee here is topped with an almost entirely lean duck meat and the broth is cooked to perfection with a tantalizing aromatic smell of the duck. A satisfying meal indeed!

As indicated by its name, Restoran Tengkera Duck Noodle is famous for their duck noodles. Over here, they have both the dry and the soup version. The dry version is best eaten with yellow noodles. For offal lovers, you may want to consider ordering their side dishes that consists of a mixture of braised eggs, duck intestines, and tofu. 

Kedai Makanan dan Minuman Soon Yen is widely known for having one of the best duck noodle hawker stalls in town. As the serving here is quite decent, it all depends on your personal preference on whether to savour it dry, or to go for the soup version. The dry version has a slightly thicker gravy, topped with shredded duck meat and a small bowl of soup; whereas for the soup one, you will be able to appreciate the taste of a flavourful broth in one bowl. For add-ons, they have braised bean curd and eggs for you to complement your noodles.

Kedai Makanan dan Minuman SS Food & Beverage Station is situated at Jalan Tun Sri Lanang. As usual, you may pick your own noodles and it will be served with shredded duck meat toppings. However, there’s pork lard for this dish, which is what makes their noodle very palatable and stands out from the rest. For side dishes, the “Chicken Feet” here is always the best match. Alternatively, you can pick your own “Yong Tau Foo“ ingredients to be served in a bowl of soup.

Kedai Makanan dan Minuman Chia Yean is a local coffee shop with a stationed food cart at the front entrance where the duck noodles are cooked. In terms of location, they can be found at Bukit Beruang. The duck meat here is famous amongst the locals and it comes in the dry and wet version too. The broth of the noodle tastes just about right and it is served with tender duck meat slices.

Teochew Braised Duck is a hawker stall tucked inside a food court. As the name implies, the preparation of the duck here applies a different Chinese cookery style, deriving from the Teochew people. Overall, the presentation of the noodle here is good enough to keep you enticed, along with its succulent duck meat that is thinly shredded and its stir-fried shallot garnishing.
