Egg Waffles (sometimes referred to as egg puffs, eggettes or bubble waffles) is a popular
street dish especially in Hong Kong. The sweet, waffle-like batter resembling a
smooth pancake batter is cooked in a special mold waffle iron. The area
connecting the eggs puffs are crispy and the egg puffs themselves are light and
fluffy. The end result is a waffle with crisp edges and soft oval “eggs” or
“bubbles” which can be easily broken off while snacking. It is surely so
fun to break them apart and eat them one by one. A super tasty snack
